Who Should Become A Sleep Consultant

Are you a mom looking to work from home, a doula wanting to expand your services, or a person wanting to find a new career that you feel passionate about?  Did you know that the community at The Center for Pediatric Sleep Management is made up of stay-at-home moms, working moms, nurses, postpartum doulas, therapists, preschool teachers, and those with professions not related to sleep consulting at all?  Becoming a sleep consultant is one of the most fulfilling jobs in the workforce for people who want to help others.

Those who enroll in the CPSM sleep consultant certification course come from all different walks of life and all have different backgrounds.  Some people take the course to learn more about sleep training because they went through it with their own children. Plus, they want to learn more and make an income while helping others.  Other people take the course because they already work in a similar field, such as a doula or nurse and wanted to add sleep consulting to their offerings.

Adding Sleep Consultation to Your List of Services as a Doula

As a doula, especially one that supports families postpartum, you might have a long list of services that you provide to your clients.  As a postpartum doula, your job is to support mothers and families as they go through the new transition period with their baby.  Becoming a sleep consultant is perfect for a doula for many reasons, including:

  1. Sleep consulting is the perfect compliment to work as a doula.
  2. You are an expert on understanding and supporting each family.
  3. You can offer a service that is hard to come by with other doulas, which will make you a top competitor with potential clients.
  4. You can work with families on their sleeping needs that you have already worked with in the past.

All of these reasons will give you the edge when parents and families are looking for support from a postpartum doula.

Become a Sleep Consultant as a Mompreneur

Moms have so many skills ingrained with their day-to-day roles as mothers, which help prepare them to be great entrepreneurs.  For a majority of moms, they are becoming experts in parenting as they go through the ups and downs of motherhood.  They love their children, they are doing a great job raising them, and they want to share their experiences with other parents.

For moms, becoming a sleep consultant is a no-brainer.  You have already experienced the sleepless nights, you have firsthand experience of developmental changes in children, and you spent the time researching and learning how to best support your own children.  Now you can take this knowledge and understanding and help other parents and families.

What are some skills that you have picked up as a mother that can be applied to becoming a sleep consultant?

  1. You can work under pressure.
  2. You can negotiate with ease.
  3. You can think creatively.
  4. You can manage your time wisely.
  5. You are motivated.

Using your knowledge and experiences as a mom along with completing the pediatric sleep consultant training course will set you up to have an in-demand and highly profitable career as a  sleep consultant. By taking the CPSM course, you will learn the tools, tips, and tricks to build a successful business as a sleep consultant at home.
