Are you considering becoming a certified pediatric sleep consultant? You’ve come to the right place. The Center for Pediatric Sleep Management offers a comprehensive sleep consultant certification course that will help you gain the knowledge to jump start your business.
How long is the course?
The sleep consultant certification course through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management is completely self-guided. Students work through the course at a pace that works for them. On average, most students complete the program in about a month.
Do you teach all sleep training techniques?
YES! This is so incredibly important. Many of the pediatric sleep coach certification programs only teach their own methods or techniques that align with the creator’s own personal views on sleep training. At the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management, we teach a client-led approach, meaning we meet our clients where they are and recommend a sleep training method that aligns with their parenting style and feels safe and comfortable for them. There is no one size fits all approach to teaching children to fall asleep independently.
Does the course provide guidance on working with older children?
Our curriculum is geared towards children aged 0-4. Some of the techniques and principles can certainly be applied to working with older children and those cases should be considered on a case by case basis.
Do you cover safe sleep guidelines and recommendations?
Absolutely! We cover infant and toddler safe sleep recommendations made by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our
sleep consultant certification program was written for students living in the United States so all safe sleep recommendations are based on US safety standards. That being said, we do have international students enrolled in the program and we ask that those students make sure that they keep up on recommendations made by their government.
How will I find clients?
There’s an entire section in the course dedicated to teaching you how to get your sleep consulting business up and running. Most of our students have never started their own business before so we lay it all out for you, step by step. In addition to the curriculum that is dedicated to this topic, we also offer an online social networking community for all of our students and graduates of the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. This social networking community is a forum for collaboration, support, mentorship and so much more.
Why get certified? Can’t I do this work without taking a course?
Becoming certified to work as a sleep consultant will set you up for success in your business. Technically you can support families through the sleep training process without a certification. There is currently no governing body that regulates this field. That being said, getting certified will provide you with a level of credibility that is extremely valuable. In addition to credibility, the program will provide you with a solid education that will leave you feeling 100% prepared to do this work.
Why should I study with the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management?
MENTORSHIP AND SUPPORT! When this program was created, it was created because there was a void in the marketplace. There are several other pediatric sleep consultant certification programs on the market, but none offer the level of mentorship and support that is offered by CPSM. You will have regular access to Jayne Havens, the founder of this program, as well as a large network of many other qualified
sleep consultants that will always be there to answer a question, give you a pep-talk, or even collaborate. There is no community out there like ours!
Do you offer payment plans?
